September 1999 – We are always pleased to report when any of our CADVANCE users inform us of any interesting news going on. This month we happened to hear of a user from South Africa visiting the northern California area and helped him to coordinate meeting with some of our long-time users. His name is Paul Holtrop, a teacher at Cape Technikon in Cape Town. He had been using the DOS version until recently when he took advantage of our free version 6.5 offer, to which his students have responded to very well. After upgrading some computers he is now considering making the change to newer and improved software. Since he was visiting the Bay area, he wanted to meet with other CADVANCE users to exchange ideas and see how others use the program. Those interested in corresponding with Mr. Holtrop to further discuss this with him may contact him at pholtrop@hotmail.com.

Bonnie Blake-Drucker, AIA, of Blake-Drucker Architects in Oakland was very kind in receiving Mr. Holtrop and demonstrated all the new features since version 6.5 to the current version 99. Mr. Holtrop was fascinated and quite excited with the possibilities that v99 can provide, and learned a lot about different ways to use CADVANCE. Blake-Drucker Architects was established in 1983, and specializes in the laboratory and health care arena. They bring a wealth of experience to their clients’ projects – giving them alternatives to help them make choices.
